Upcoming Christmas program and Kennedy audio documentary
Darlene Frederick from the Mineral County Historical Society previews the upcoming Christmas program at the historic Claysville Church. This year’s program recalls Christmas during the Civil War, with stories told through letters written during the conflict.
The program is Dec. 1, 2:00 PM, at Claysville Church, intersection of US Route 50 and State Route 93.
To mark the anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination on Nov. 22, we play an audio documentary about Kennedy’s life and presidency, released as an LP record, shortly after his death. It includes news clips, tributes, and excerpts from several Kennedy speeches. Narrator is journalist Barry Gray.
